 This highly specialised unit is equiped with only the very best of equipment. The unit comprises of seven adult beds, five neo nathal beds and 6 high care beds. Placement of patients is done in such a manner that staff can keep an close eye on them at all times. | | | |  ICU Staff are highly trained and for that reason any type of patient can be admitted to the unit.The staff to patient ratio is always kept at 1:1 to ensure optimal care at all times. All beds are constantly monitored from a central station where all of the patient's vital data is displayed. | | | | Once the patient is admitted to the ICU, we require at least half-an-hour to settle him/her and will then call you and accompany you to his/her bedside. | Please ring the doorbell for admittance to the unit. Unfortunately you may have to wait a while until someone answers - the unit can be very busy at times. -
No flowers are allowed in the unit. Please ensure that we have toiletries (a razor, etc.) and underwear for your relative. No other clothes are allowed. - Visiting will be allowed for short periods. Only 5-10 minutes per person is allowed.
